Welcome to the George and Dragon, Hudswell

 
The George and Dragon is a small friendly pub in Hudswell situated just 5 minutes from the historic town of Richmond. Infact it's the first pub in the Yorkshire Dales nationl park coming from the east or the last one out depending on which way you are travelling. 
 
We are not far from the A1,  Leyburn or Reeth, and we are the first community owned pub in North Yorkshire and were offically opened by William Hague MP and Foriegn Secretary on June 12th 2010.
 
The pub has a hidden gem (apart from the staff !) - that's the views from the back patio area and they are....well come and see for yourself !
 

Food and Drink and The George and Dragon

Our food is homemade wherever possible and we use locally sourced fresh produce, cooked to order. We offer good quality food, good portions at good prices, ask for a copy of the G&D times !
 
Although we dont serve food on a monday or certain times of the day , if you are hungry we will endeavor to make something up for you ! Parties can be catered for and functions may be held. 
 
We offer a selection of real ales and listen to our regulars and visitors alike and try to offer a good variety of cask ales, changing them with the seasons and to everyones likes.
 

Dog Friendly Pub

The pub is dog friendly, we allow canines to bring in their 2 legged friends, as long as they are well behaved, of good humour , toilet trained and on the end of a lead! Dogs are not allowed in the dining area.
 

Groups and Clubs

Groups and clubs are welcome and we offer free tea & coffee flask filling for those of you who have being enjoying our wonderful enviroment in the Swaledale valley and have dined with us. We have a selection of power bites on our menu for those that enjoy country persuits , whether you have been rambling, fell running or cycling, out for a gentle stroll or for a drive out in the Dales. If you have an event you want to share then please see our community noticeboard
 

Special Events

We have events throughout the year, covering all the major holidays and celebrations as well as are our Happy Hudswell calendar of events, from a fijian festival day, sword dancing, beer festivals, voices in the valley, help the heros charity day, halloween scarecrow festival to name a few !
